In three "tapestry" landscapes, by Sandra Leigh Robbins of Michigan, only the backgrounds are woven. Three-dimensional trees, aligned across the foreground, have gnarled trunks wrapped with white yarns and branches filled with "leaves" of twisted cream and white threads. Plexiglas boxes protect and hold everything in place. The result is serene, austere and poetic
